Import your TradeZero trades into a journal

Export your trades from the TradeZero portal, drop the CSV into NeoTLog, and every fill is matched into round trips, shorts included, with every regulatory and ECN fee.

1. Export your trades

  1. Log in to the TradeZero web portal and open Portfolio → Trades (Account Overview → Trades on the US portal).
  2. Set From Date and To Date. Portal data updates once a day at 2:00 AM ET, so today’s trades appear the next day.
  3. Click Export as CSV (the Excel icon) and save the file.

No time zone in the file. The export writes the trade date and a bare time; America/New_York is preselected on import — change it if your times are in another zone.

Built from the documented format. This importer follows TradeZero's export as its documentation and open-source tools describe it, and is tested against that layout — not yet against a file from a NeoTLog user. If yours does not import cleanly, send it to support@neotlog.com and we will fix the importer.

2. What the file looks like

This is the header row the importer is tested against, with one row of sample data underneath it:

Account,T/D,S/D,Currency,Type,Side,Symbol,Qty,Price,Exec Time,Comm,SEC,TAF,NSCC,Nasdaq,
ECN Remove,ECN Add,Gross Proceeds,Net Proceeds,Clr Broker,Liq,
Note

2TZ00000,11/13/23,11/15/23,USD,3,SS,TIVC,806,2.48,8:18:08,0,0.02,0.12,0,0,0,0,1998.88,
1998.74,ARCA,
RR,

Wrapped here for reading — in the file each row is one line.

NeoTLog reads T/D and Exec Time, Side, Symbol, Qty, Price and every cost column — Comm, SEC, TAF, NSCC, Nasdaq, ECN Remove and ECN Add, taken with its sign. Side is B, S, SS (sell short) or BC (buy to cover), and the fills are matched first in, first out.

3. Import it

  1. Create a free NeoTLog account, or log in.
  2. Open Import and choose TradeZero.
  3. Check Date format: it is preset to MM/DD/YYYY. If your export writes dates another way, change it first, then drop in the file.
  4. Set the file timezone if the export does not carry one, then import. Duplicate rows from an overlapping date range are detected, so re-importing a wider export later is safe.

4. What you get

Fills are matched first in, first out into closed round trips, so an entry scaled in over several orders and out over two becomes one trade with one average entry, one average exit and the right quantity. From there:

5. What doesn't import

Questions

ZeroPro, TZ1, ZeroFree or ZeroMobile?

All the same here. Whichever you traded on, the fills land in the portal's Trades export.

Short sales?

SS opens a short and BC covers it, so a short arrives as one round trip with its own profit.

Do I need a paid plan?

No. Basic is free: 100 trades per calendar year (imported or entered) on one trading account, with no card. Plus adds unlimited imports and accounts, chart screenshots, MAE/MFE and a price chart of each trade; Pro adds AI performance reports, the AI assistant and the screenshot SL/TP reader. You can try Pro free for 14 days, once per account, with no card.

I trade on another platform too.

NeoTLog reads exports from 60+ platforms, and on Plus and Pro several accounts can live in one journal. The guides are listed on the import page.
