Import your Trade Republic trades into a journal
Create the transaction export in the Trade Republic app, drop the CSV into NeoTLog, and every buy, sale and savings plan is matched into round trips with statistics and a P&L calendar.
1. Export your trades
- In the Trade Republic app, tap your profile and open the statements (Account Statements; Kontoauszüge in German), then Transaction export.
- Tap Share, choose All transactions (a period works once the earlier ones are in NeoTLog), then Create, and save the CSV file.
A purchase's tax counts, a sale's doesn't. A tax on a purchase is a transaction tax and part of the trade's cost. The tax on a sale is the capital-gains tax withheld from your profit, not a trading cost, so it is left out.
Knock-outs and bonds close too. A knock-out certificate that is knocked out has no sale: it closes on the day it was knocked out (WARRANT_EXERCISE), at the payout Trade Republic books for it (TILG), or at 0 when it paid nothing. A bond repaid at maturity (FINAL_MATURITY), a liquidation and a write-off close their positions too. A cancelled purchase (BUY_CANCELLED) takes back the purchase it cancels.
Names, not tickers. The file names each security and gives its ISIN, so the name is the symbol — with the ISIN added for knock-outs, warrants, certificates and bonds, whose names repeat (Example Long KO (DE000EX00001)). A coin becomes BTC/EUR.
Splits, and shares from elsewhere. A split's new shares join your position, so its average entry is the split-adjusted one. Shares moved in from another broker (or a staking reward) open a position at their value that day — the trade says so; set its entry to what you paid. Trade Republic can't sell short, so a sale of shares the file never bought — bought before the period you exported — is left out and counted, not shown as a short. Export All transactions for your first import.
Built from the documented format. This importer follows Trade Republic's export as its documentation and open-source tools describe it, and is tested against that layout — not yet against a file from a NeoTLog user. If yours does not import cleanly, send it to support@neotlog.com and we will fix the importer.
2. What the file looks like
This is the header row the importer is tested against, with one row of sample data underneath it:
"datetime","date","account_type","category","type","asset_class","name","symbol",
"shares","price","amount","fee","tax","currency","original_amount","original_currency",
"fx_rate","description","transaction_id","counterparty_name","counterparty_iban",
"payment_reference",
"mcc_code"
"2026-05-04T08:15:22.418Z","2026-05-04","DEFAULT","TRADING","BUY","STOCK",
"Example Corp","US0000000001","3.0000000000","120.5000000000","-361.50","-1.00","",
"EUR","","","","Buy trade US0000000001 EXAMPLE CORP, quantity: 3",
"2b1e0c7a-0000-4000-8000-000000000001","","","",
""
Wrapped here for reading — in the file each row is one line.
NeoTLog reads datetime (UTC, marked as such), category and type, asset_class, name, symbol (the ISIN, or a coin's ticker), shares (negative for a sale), price, amount, fee and tax. TRADING BUY and SELL rows are the trades — savings plans are BUYs — in euros, as Trade Republic books them.
3. Import it
- Create a free NeoTLog account, or log in.
- Open Import and choose Trade Republic.
- Set the file timezone if the export does not carry one, then import. Duplicate rows from an overlapping date range are detected, so re-importing a wider export later is safe.
4. What you get
Fills are matched first in, first out into closed round trips, so an entry scaled in over several orders and out over two becomes one trade with one average entry, one average exit and the right quantity. From there:
- Net P&L, win rate, profit factor, expectancy, average win and loss, max drawdown
- Equity curve, P&L calendar by day and week, time-of-day and hold-time charts, and a filter for each trading session
- Commissions and fees, wherever the export carries them
- MAE and MFE per coin trade on Plus and Pro — how far the position ran against you and for you before it closed: BTC, ETH and LINK as estimates without a key, other coins with your own free Massive key (Settings → Market data)
- Notes, tags and strategies per trade, plus chart screenshots saved to your account on Plus and Pro
- AI performance reports, the AI assistant and the screenshot SL/TP reader on Pro
5. What doesn't import
- Dividends, interest and Saveback
- Card payments, deposits and cash transfers
- The PDF statements and settlement notes
Questions
Since when is there an export?
Trade Republic added it in April 2026. It covers your account from the start, though some report early history missing for accounts opened years before.
Which time zone are the times in?
UTC, marked in the file, so trades land at the right time whatever you pick on import.
Do I need a paid plan?
No. Basic is free: 100 trades per calendar year (imported or entered) on one trading account, with no card. Plus adds unlimited imports and accounts, chart screenshots, MAE/MFE and a price chart of each trade; Pro adds AI performance reports, the AI assistant and the screenshot SL/TP reader. You can try Pro free for 14 days, once per account, with no card.
I trade on another platform too.
NeoTLog reads exports from 60+ platforms, and on Plus and Pro several accounts can live in one journal. The guides are listed on the import page.
