Import your Rithmic trades into a journal
Export Completed Orders from R|Trader Pro, drop the CSV into NeoTLog, and every fill is matched into round trips with commissions, statistics and a P&L calendar. Rithmic is the execution platform rather than the broker, so this works the same whether the account came from a futures broker or a funded programme.
1. Export Completed Orders from R|Trader Pro
- In R|Trader Pro, open File → Order History.
- Select the account and the trading date you want to export. R|Trader loads one trading day at a time, so a month means a file per day.
- In the Completed Orders section, right-click the column header and open Add/Remove Columns.
- Switch on Buy/Sell (or Side), Symbol, Qty Filled, Avg Fill Price and Update Time / Fill Time. Also add Status, Account, Order Number, Commission and Position Disposition if they aren't already there.
- Export the grid as CSV and upload it without editing it.
This is the step that decides whether the import works. R|Trader exports exactly the columns that are visible in the grid, and nothing else. If a column is hidden in the platform it is simply missing from the file, which is why a Rithmic export can look complete on screen and still arrive without fill prices.
2. What the file looks like
A Completed Orders export with those columns visible looks like this — the header row, and one filled order of sample data underneath it:
Account,Status,Buy/Sell,Symbol,Qty,Qty Filled,Avg Fill Price,Order Type,
Update Time (EST),Order Number,Commission,Position Disposition,Remarks
ACC-12345,Complete,Buy,ESU6,1,1,6200.00,Market,06/17/2026 15:31:10,
100001,2.04,Open,
Wrapped here for reading — in the file each order is one line.
NeoTLog reads Buy/Sell, Symbol, Qty Filled,
Avg Fill Price, the Update Time column whatever timezone its name
carries, plus Status, Commission, Order Type and
Order Number. Only rows marked Complete, Filled or Partially filled are imported, and
a row needs a filled quantity above zero to count.
3. Import it
- Create a free NeoTLog account, or log in.
- Open Import and choose Rithmic R|Trader Pro.
- Drop in the CSV. The date format is preset to MM/DD/YYYY, which is what R|Trader writes; the preview shows you immediately if your file uses another one.
- Set the file timezone to match the column name. An export headed
Update Time (EST)is Eastern, so pick that and your trades land on the right day and in the right session.
4. What you get
Fills are matched first in, first out into closed round trips, so an entry scaled in over four orders and out over two becomes one trade with one average entry, one average exit and the right quantity. From there:
- Net P&L, win rate, profit factor, expectancy, average win and loss, max drawdown
- Equity curve, P&L calendar by day and week, and time-of-day and session breakdowns
- Commissions per fill, taken from the export when the column is included
- MAE and MFE per trade — how far the position ran against you and for you before it closed
- Notes, tags and strategies per trade, plus screenshots saved to your account
- AI performance reports and the screenshot SL/TP reader on the paid plans
5. What doesn't import
- Positions exports, working-order exports and cancelled-order exports
- Account summaries and statements
- Any file whose filled-order columns were hidden when it was exported
Cancelled and working orders are skipped on purpose. Only completed fills are trades.
Questions
My export has no Qty Filled or Avg Fill Price column.
That means the column is hidden in R|Trader, not missing from your account. Right-click the column header in Completed Orders, open Add/Remove Columns, switch on Buy/Sell, Symbol, Qty Filled, Avg Fill Price and Update Time, then export again.
My fill times are in a different timezone.
Rithmic usually puts the zone in the column name, such as Update Time (EST). NeoTLog reads the clock time from the file and you pick the matching timezone during import, so nothing lands on the wrong day.
Does it work with a funded or prop-firm account?
Yes. Rithmic is the execution platform, not the broker, so any account that gives you an R|Trader Pro login exports the same way. Evaluation and funded accounts can sit side by side in one journal.
Are commissions included?
Yes, when the Commission column is visible in the export. Switch it on before exporting and NeoTLog books it per fill instead of guessing.
Do I need a paid plan?
No. The free plan includes 100 imports per calendar year and needs no card. Paid plans add AI performance reports, the screenshot SL/TP reader and unlimited imports.
I trade on another platform too.
NeoTLog reads exports from 50+ platforms. There's a guide for Tradovate, and the full list is on the home page — several accounts can live in one journal.
