Import your Kraken trades into a journal

Export a Trades report from Kraken, drop the CSV into NeoTLog, and every fill is matched into round trips with fees and statistics.

1. Export your trades

  1. In Kraken, click your profile icon / name in the top-right corner.
  2. Open Documents.
  3. In the Exports section, click New Export / Create Export.
  4. Select Trades.
  5. Select the date range and trading pairs you want to export.
  6. Select CSV as the file format.
  7. Generate the export and download it when it is ready.
  8. Upload the exported CSV file here.

Trades, not Ledgers. The Ledgers export is an account movement log — deposits, withdrawals, staking and the cash side of trades. Only the Trades export lists executions.

2. What the file looks like

This is the real header row, with one row of sample data underneath it:

txid,ordertxid,pair,time,type,ordertype,price,cost,fee,vol,margin,misc,
ledgers

TX123456,ORD10001,XBT/USD,2026-06-17 15:31:10,buy,limit,67000.00,670.00,1.74,
0.01000000,0.00,,LEDGER1,
LEDGER2

Wrapped here for reading — in the file each row is one line.

NeoTLog reads pair, type, vol, price, time and fee. Kraken writes its headers in lower case and its own pair names, which the importer maps to normal tickers.

3. Import it

  1. Create a free NeoTLog account, or log in.
  2. Open Import and choose Kraken.
  3. Drop in the file. The date format is preset to YYYY-MM-DD; the preview shows you straight away if your export uses another one.
  4. Set the file timezone if the export does not carry one, then import. Duplicate rows from an overlapping date range are detected, so re-importing a wider export later is safe.

4. What you get

Fills are matched first in, first out into closed round trips, so an entry scaled in over several orders and out over two becomes one trade with one average entry, one average exit and the right quantity. From there:

Questions

The export is not ready immediately.

Kraken queues exports and emails you, or shows them in Documents when done. Download it there, then upload the CSV as saved.

Why do the pair names look odd?

Kraken uses its own codes, like XBT for bitcoin. The importer translates them, so your journal shows the ticker you expect.

Do I need a paid plan?

No. The free plan includes 100 imports per calendar year and needs no card. Paid plans add AI performance reports, the screenshot SL/TP reader and unlimited imports.

I trade on another platform too.

NeoTLog reads exports from 50+ platforms, and several accounts can live in one journal. The guides are listed on the import page.
