Import your CQG trades into a journal
Export filled orders from CQG Desktop or the QTrader/Integrated Client order grid, drop the file into NeoTLog, and every fill is matched into round trips with fees and statistics.
1. Export your trades
- In CQG Desktop, open the Orders Filled widget.
- Select the date range you want to export.
- Click the three-dot / Manage Widget menu.
- Click Download orders in view or Download today\u2019s fill report.
- Save the exported file as XLSX or CSV.
- Upload the exported file here.
Brokers rebrand CQG. AMP Futures, Optimus, Stage 5, Edge Clear, Ironbeam and Cannon all hand out the same platform under their own name, so the grid you are exporting is the same one no matter whose logo is on it.
2. What the file looks like
This is the real header row, with one row of sample data underneath it:
Account,Status,B/S,Qty,UnFld,Symbol,Ord P,Avg Fill P,Type,LMT P,DUR,Fld,Place T,#,User,
Fill T,
Fee
AMP001,Cancelled,B,1,0,ESU6,,6150.00,LMT,6150.00,DAY,1,17/06/2026 15:30:00,10000,isac,
17/06/2026 15:30:00,
2.04
Wrapped here for reading — in the file each row is one line.
NeoTLog reads Symbol, B/S, Fld (filled quantity), Avg Fill P, Fill T, Status and Fee. CQG abbreviates almost everything, which is why the column names look cryptic — the importer maps them for you.
3. Import it
- Create a free NeoTLog account, or log in.
- Open Import and choose CQG Desktop.
- Drop in the file. The date format is preset to DD/MM/YYYY; the preview shows you straight away if your export uses another one.
- Set the file timezone if the export does not carry one, then import. Duplicate rows from an overlapping date range are detected, so re-importing a wider export later is safe.
4. What you get
Fills are matched first in, first out into closed round trips, so an entry scaled in over several orders and out over two becomes one trade with one average entry, one average exit and the right quantity. From there:
- Net P&L, win rate, profit factor, expectancy, average win and loss, max drawdown
- Equity curve, P&L calendar by day and week, and time-of-day and session breakdowns
- Commissions and fees, wherever the export carries them
- MAE and MFE per trade — how far the position ran against you and for you before it closed
- Notes, tags and strategies per trade, plus screenshots saved to your account
- AI performance reports and the screenshot SL/TP reader on the paid plans
5. What doesn't import
- Working and cancelled orders — only filled rows carry fills
- Statements, positions and account summaries
- Chart or market-data exports
Questions
My columns are abbreviated differently.
CQG grids are configurable and the export contains the visible columns. Make sure Symbol, B/S, Fld, Avg Fill P and Fill T are showing before you export.
Does it work with a funded CQG account?
Yes. The platform is the same whether the account is your own or a funded one.
Do I need a paid plan?
No. The free plan includes 100 imports per calendar year and needs no card. Paid plans add AI performance reports, the screenshot SL/TP reader and unlimited imports.
I trade on another platform too.
NeoTLog reads exports from 50+ platforms, and several accounts can live in one journal. The guides are listed on the import page.
